I am not a big fan of couture. I find most of the clothes too brash and experimental for my taste. Any mention of 'haute couture' conjures up images of gimmicky dresses which doesn't coincide with my masculine inspired dress sense. This Valentino collection proved me wrong; couture doesn't have to be attention-seeking. I was bowled over by the intricate embellishments, beautiful embroidery, and the end result of sheer craftsmanship.
Rather surprisingly, it made me realise that I'm not such a tomboy after all.
